Hot fuzz editing effects

The clip I chose is a weird form of a mexican standoff in a modern setting, it show all participants all focusing on the last person in the shot. All characters are shot close up and are generally in the centre of the frame, the speed at which each frame moves on to the next speeds up with each frame building exponentially until the final frame.

Notice each have eyes focusing off screen

All this quick cutting between frames obviously is very reminiscent of other action films, what it does in increase tension the faster the frame change goes the tenser the film is. This leads to a clima

x where this warped mexican standoff is broken by the last frame.

All of the previous people in all the previous frames are focused on this last person so everything leads up to this last frame. The culmination of all the scene setting, all the focus, speed, tension, all that I've mention before hand and all things left unsaid about cinematography and story leads up to this breaking point.

This is where the real action begins
